OCCHIALI D’ ORO
ABSTRACT. Il contributo suggerisce epifanie di un oggetto, quello degli occhiali d’oro, da Nietzsche a Thomas Mann fino a Giorgio Bassani. Attraverso indizi e apparizioni di tale oggetto nei testi di questi autori, il contributo rievoca un pezzo di storia del tardo decadentismo europeo. Si tratta di una breve lettura in prospettiva tematica che istituisce un legame tra questi tre autori attraverso la ricorrenza di tale emblematico oggetto: il terminale di questa linea, Giorgio Bassani, lo ha posto nel titolo stesso di un suo romanzo breve.

ABSTRACT The contribution suggests epiphanies of an object, that of golden glasses, from Nietzsche to Thomas Mann up to Giorgio Bassani. Through clues and appearances of this object in the texts of these authors, the contribution recalls a piece of history of late European Decadentism. This is a brief critical intuition that establishes a link between these three authors through a thematic starting point. The final point of this journey is Giorgio Bassani, who put this very object in the title of one of his novels.
