Forme del tempo e sideshadowing in Palle imperiali di Feng Tang

ABSTRACT. This article explores the relationship between the forms of time, the narrative structure and the ethical dimension of literary experience in the short-story Tianxia luan 天下 卵 (2012) written by the contemporary Chinese writer Feng Tang 冯唐 (1961–), by borrowing the definition of sideshadowing proposed by Morson. It will be discussed how Tianxia luan implies the presence of a peculiar sense of truth (zhenshi 真实) and proposes a variety of narrative techniques perfectly capable of representing time as ‘open’.

ABSTRACT. Questo articolo esplora la relazione tra le forme del tempo, la struttura narrativa e la dimensione etica dell’esperienza letteraria nel lungo racconto Palle imperiali (Tianxia luan 天下卵, 2012) dello scrittore cinese contemporaneo Feng Tang 冯唐 (1961–), articolando il discorso a partire dalla definizione di sideshadowing proposta da Morson. Sarà interessante vedere come Palle imperiali, facendo della ‘verità’ (zhenshi 真实) la sua cifra stilistica, proponga una varietà di tecniche narrative perfettamente in grado di rappresentare tempo come ‘aperto’.
