LA NAISSANCE DE LA CRITIQUE ACADEMIQUE DANS LE MONDE ARABE ET LES PREMICES DU COMPARATISME
ABSTRACT. Cet article retrace les moments clés de la naissance d’une critique littéraire académique coïncidant avec les prémices du comparatisme dans le monde arabe. Dans ce processus d’institutionnalisation, la critique arabe se dote d’outils méthodologiques prioritairement comparatistes s’inspirant des modèles et textes occidentaux. Les milieux non universitaires, avec le mouvement romantique et les nouveaux courants philosophiques, jouent également un rôle décisif dans la réorganisation du champ littéraire et sa conduite vers une plus grande spécialisation avec l’émergence de la figure du critique professionnel.
ABSTRACT. This article traces the key moments of the birth of an academic literary criticism coinciding with the beginnings of comparatism in the Arab world. In this process of institutionalization, Arab critics acquire methodological tools that are primarily comparatist and inspired by Western models and texts. Non-university circles, along with the romantic movement and the new philosophical currents, also play a decisive role in the reorganization of the literary field and its conduct towards a greater specialization with the emergence of the figure of the professional critic..
