LA TERMINOLOGIE CRITIQUE ARABE EN QUESTION
ABSTRACT. The question of terminology occupies an important place in the reflection led by Arab critics on their literature and research methodology. In this it reveals the flaws and limits of the reception of Western concepts and their assimilation into Arabic language and culture. For much more than a terminological approach, this hesitation reflects a theoretical instability in the reception of concepts, coupled with a complex relationship with the West. The terminological obsession is symptomatic of this attempt to define the identity constantly confronted with the mirror of otherness.
ABSTRACT. La question de la terminologie occupe une place importante dans la réflexion menée par les critiques arabes sur leur littérature et leur méthodologie de recherche. Elle est en cela révélatrice des failles et limites de la réception des concepts occidentaux et de leur assimilation en langue et culture arabes. Car bien plus qu’une approche terminologique, cette hésitation reflète une instabilité théorique dans
la réception des concepts, doublée d’un rapport complexe à l’Occident. L’obsession terminologique est symptomatique de cette tentative de définition de l’identité confrontée sans cesse au miroir de l’altérité.
