L’IMPATTO ETICO E LE PROSPETTIVE DELLE NUOVE TECNOLOGIE DI NEUROIMAGING
ABSTRACT. L’attuale possibilità di osservare a livello microscopico le attività del cervello in vivo consente una valutazione corretta ed esaustiva dell’evoluzione neuronale. Per questo motivo le tecniche di neuroimaging vanno contestualizzate in un’ottica di significativa innovazione. L’indagine del cervello chiarisce gli aspetti della peculiare neuroplasticità, attraverso la quale esso può mutare strutturalmente e funzionalmente. L’obiettivo di questo contributo è evidenziare l’impatto etico che tali scoperte rappresentano e indicare i vantaggi dell’approccio neuroetico attualmente condiviso ed accreditato dalla comunità scientifica.
ABSTRACT. The current opportunity to observe the activity of the brain in vivo on a microscopic level allows a correct and comprehensive evaluation of the evolution of neurons. For this reason neuroimaging techniques are contextualized in view of significant innovation. The investigation of the brain clarifies aspects of neuroplasticity, through which it can mutate structurally and functionally. The aim of this paper is to highlight the ethical impact that these findings represent and to indicate the advantages of the neuroethical approach currently shared and accredited by the scientific community.
